WorldView- supported film Through the Fire will be returning to UK screens this Autumn as the film screens in different locations throughout September and October. There is also the news that more international screenings will follow, including showings in Seattle, Stockholm, and Perth.
The film shows a side of Somalia and Somaliland beyond the all-too-familiar news reports of piracy, war, and famine. It tells the stories of three heroic Somali women who risk their lives to run essential humanitarian projects that have sustained their communities for years.
The next screening of Through the Fire will be on Monday 20 Oct, 18.00: Oxford House, Bethnal Green with guest speaker Ilwad Elman (hosts: Anglo-Somali Society& Somali Week Festival).
