WorldView consultant Phil Cox will be offering one-to-one sessions to Latin American Filmmakers later this month in association with ChileDoc, as part of  a new Tribeca/WorldView partnership to support filmmakers from the region. The sessions will be held in Santiago, Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Each 30 minute session will consist of Mr Cox offering advice on developing documentary projects in areas such as fundraising, writing, and the presentation of projects in an international context. The session will also include an assessment of the project for the Tribeca/WorldView partnership for research and development of feature documentary projects.

Phil Cox is keen to promote Latin American voices through WorldView; ‘I am delighted to be taking WorldView to Latin American filmmakers with a series of events and workshops in Santiago Chile and Buenos Aires Argentina. Latin America has long been overlooked as source of great documentary potential and too often pigeon holed into stereotypical subjects for outside audiences. The new Tribeca WorldView grants I hope will bring fresh new perspectives and stories from such a rich and diverse region’. says Phil Cox.

The sessions will be in Spanish and will take place from Tuesday 11 to Friday 14 September. Applications are open to filmmakers from any Latin American country.
