Congratulations! Why Poverty? Win prestigious Peabody Awards

We are pleased to announce that ‘Why Poverty?’, an institutional partner of WorldView, has had eight of its documentaries recognised at the 72nd Annual Peabody Awards

An annual event administered by the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, The Peabody Awards are the oldest in broadcasting and one of the most prestigious awards for electronic media in the world. They recognize distinguished achievements and meritorious service by broadcasters, cable and Webcasters, producing organizations, and individuals worldwide.

With only 39 recipients, the eight Why Poverty? films included three films that were part-funded by Worldview. These eight documentaries have been recognised as being distinctively different films which explored aspects of the human condition, both historically and in the here and now.

Once again, a big congratulations to the Why Poverty? filmmakers from the WorldView team. All of these documentaries are available here
