Speed Sisters win ‘Art for Freedom’ grant

Speed_Sisters_IMGGreat news! WorldView-funded Speed Sisters is a the latest winner of the Art for Freedom Grant from VICE.

Launched in September this year, ‘Art for Freedom’ is a new global digital campaign from Madonna and VICE, designed to fuel free speech. The goal of the programme is to encourage artists, photographers, videographers and poets to create works that put a spotlight on social justice. Amber Fares, director of Speed Sisters, was announced as the November winner last Friday and will receive a grant of US$10,000.

Speed Sisters was awarded a WorldView Project Development Grant in 2011 and documents the lives of a Palestinian all-female auto racing team.
