Running from June until September, Home will offer an array of funding opportunities, events, and screenings. Your WorldView is asking filmmakers to add their Home-themed short docs to the Your WorldView website, whether they are about refugees, migration, memories
Entries are open for the Japan Prize, a prestigious international competition for educational media. Generous prizes of USD$8,000 and $USD3,000 will be awarded to the two best proposals for TV programmes about literacy and language that contribute to education in an entrant’s country or region. The prize is organised by NHK, Japan’s public service broadcaster.
This year we have been working with Sheffield Doc/Fest to support some of the most exciting filmmaking talent from the wider world. Shirley Abraham and Amit Madheshiya from India travelled to Sheffield to participate in the festival, which ran last week. The trip provided the filmmakers with unprecedented access to the world’s documentary industry players
Grierson 2013: The British Documentary Awards recognise outstanding documentaries that demonstrate integrity, originality and technical excellence, and social or cultural significance.
